On foot
It takes about 15-20 minutes to walk from Torgalmenningen (the main square) to Nordnes. A walk from the city centre takes you past a number of historical attractions. You can see the oldest monasteries in the country, The Amalie Skram statue. And the totem pole, which was a gift to Bergen from Seattle in 1970. Nordnes is also known for its narrow streets with old houses that have a charm all their own. Knøsesmauet is one of the popular streets to take pictures of.

You get a 20% discount on a day ticket to the Aquarium by showing your Beffen ticket at the ticket office at the Aquarium.

The parking garage closest to us is called “NordnesGarasjen” (Nordnesgaten 46). NB! The maximum height is 1.8 meters.
Other parking garages nearby are “Klostergarasjen” (Vestre Murallmenningen 14) and “Aimo Park” (Markveien 7) .
For wheelchair users
If you arrive by car or taxi, you can be dropped off right in front of the stair-free entrance.
The aquarium is located in the city center, about a 15-minute walk from the Tourist Information at the Fish Market/ Torgalmenningen. However, the scenic route includes cobblestone streets, which can be challenging for wheelchair users. Alternatively, taking the car route provides pavements, though some sections may pose difficulties in accessing and exiting the pavement, similar to other parts of the city center. Navigating during winter when the roads might have snow and ice are not recommended.
