Axolotl is critically endangered in the wild. Three individuals live in this pond. Unlike most other amphibians, the axolotl never really grows up and never leaves the water.

Maintenance
Continuous water in and excess water goes into the overflow. Using a gravel vacuum is sometimes required to remove feed residues and feces from the sediments.
