Behavior
These tortoises make a sound like a baby cooing with a raspy voice.
Breeding
The males make head movements towards other males and swing their heads back and forth in a continuous rhythm that is a mating ritual to impress the female. They reach sexual maturity at 8-10 years of age. The number and size of the eggs laid depend on the size of the female turtle. The young tortoises are self-sufficent from birth.
