Finally, the public can once again experience what happens behind the aquariums and walk through the Keepers' Walkway on their own, this is normally a place only the zookeepers (keepers) have access to. Unfortunately, this area is not universally designed. Best suited for school-age children and older.

Our carp love to be visited by children who are ready to quit using pacifiers. So it's a special thrill to be able to donate their pacifier to our lively carp gang! As a reward for good effort we issue the child with a diploma and the child gets to feed the fish.

Gizmo and Bella are European otters. A semi-aquatic predatory mammal in the marten family. This means that they live partly in water and partly on land. In Norway, European otters are found all over the country, but most in the coastal areas from central Norway and northwards. They also do well in water and waterways, and occasionally you can even meet them high up in the mountains.
