Welcome behind the scenes of the aquariums
Entrance via lobby
Experience the inside of the Aquarium. Experience what happens behind the aquariums and walk through the keepers' walkway on your own, this is normally a place only zookeepers have access to. You get to see the nine aquariums in the Rotunda from the back. Unfortunately, this area is not universally designed. Best suited for school-age children and older.
Face painting
"Storsalen" (Main floor - nr. 12 on the map)
There will be an opportunity to have your favorite animal drawn (painted) on your face. Best of all, it's free! There will be small breaks in between.
Eggpert quiz

How good are you with eggs? Answer the eggpert quiz and participate in the draw for a choice of annual pass to the Aquarium. We will draw 3 winners on April 7.
Egg hunt
Outside and inside the Aquarium
Join the Easter egg hunt. There are 5 eggs hidden around the Aquarium, inside and outside. If you find an egg, you deliver it to the store/ticketoffice and receive a small prize. One prize per family. Ask in the store when you arrive how many eggs have been found so far that day.

Otter
Outside at the otter habitat
Gizmo and Bella are European otters. A semi-aquatic predatory mammal in the marten family. This means that they live partly in water and partly on land. In Norway, European otters are found all over the country, but most in the coastal areas from central Norway and northwards. They also do well in water and waterways, and occasionally you can even meet them high up in the mountains.

The content was filmed on Svalbard in 2023, with the help of drones above and below water, as well as remote-controlled cameras to give us intimate encounters with the giants in the Arctic.

Extra otter feeding
Outside at the otter habitat
The otters can be difficult to spot. During a day, they rest approx. 70% and they are most active when it's dark. Come and see when the otters are fed, then you have a greater chance of seeing them. This is in addition to the ordinary otter presentation.

Her får du vite litt mer om noen av dyrene som bor i Betongjungelen, vår tropiske avdeling. Her bor blant annet fillipinske krokodiller, brillekaimaner, grønn anakonda, leopardgekko, runakkevaran, seilfinneøgle og chiliensk rose.
